RAUTAHAT, MAY 05
In a bid to curb the further spread of COVID-19 cases, Rautahat authorities have decided to bar vehicular movement along with operation of hotels and restaurants in the district.
A meeting of the District COVID-19 Crisis Management Committee held on Wednesday decided the aforementioned to be brought into effect from Friday mid -night.
According to the Chief District Officer Indradev Yadav, the stringent decision has been taken to mitigate the risk of further spread of infections by discouraging crowding in district headquarters Gaur along with rural localities of the district.
As a first step to contain growing number of cases of coronavirus infection in the district, two, three and four wheelers and heavy vehicles will be barred from movement along with closures of hotels and restaurants.
Furthermore, if the measure does not prove to be effective for the cause, a complete lockdown could be implemented, added Yadav.
