RAUTAHAT: The local administration has lifted the declaration of riot-hit zone from the district headquarters on Friday.

Gaur was declared riot-hit zone amid violent protests in the Tarai districts on August 25.

A meeting of the district security committee decided to lift the declaration as  life started returning to normalcy, according to Assistant Chief District Officer Ram Raj Subedi.
