Hetauda, February 20

The Road Division Office in Hetauda has started to demolish infrastructure constructed by encroaching the road along the East-West Highway road section at Raptiroad from today.

The division office has been expanding the road after demolishing the structures built along the road sides.

Makawanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Raj Kumar Neupane accused the administration of forcefully demolishing the buildings.

Officials at the Road Division Office, however, said that they had notified the locals about the demolition drive and asked them to shift their belongings.

Information officer at Road Division Office, Makawanpur, Jaya Ram Adhikari said that the traders and owners of houses along the road side area had started to protest the administration’s demolition drive and calling it unacceptable.
