KATHMANDU, JANUARY 4
Gold price fell sharply in the domestic market on Sunday, with the price of fine gold dropping by Rs 2,100 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association.
Fine gold is now being traded at Rs 260,400 per tola, down from Rs 262,500 per tola on Friday. The decline comes amid continued fluctuations in the bullion market after gold hit a record high of Rs 270,600 per tola on December 28.
Silver price also slipped on Sunday. The price of silver declined by Rs 25 per tola to Rs 4,500, compared to Rs 4,525 per tola in the previous trading session, the federation said.
