BAJURA, DECEMBER 16

Initiatives have yet to be taken to build a bus park in Martadi even though bus service has been operating for the past five years in Bajura.

The vehicles are parked randomly on the roadsides due to lack of bus park. The local government has paid no attention to building a bus park even though the bus service has been in operation in the district headquarters since 2017. Pedestrians have been facing problems along the road due to the same reason.

Manoj Rawal, a driver, said people had been facing problems walking on the road due to lack of bus park in Martadi. He said people could hardly walk along the road as vehicles were parked randomly.

Kalche Damai, a local, said students, small children, elderly citizens, patients, among others, had been facing problems .

Locals said mismanagement of traffic and increase in vehicles every year had created problems.

Another local Binod BK said people had launched protest after the authority concerned did not work for construction of bus park.

Bus park construction has been stranded at Badimalika Municipality.

Chief Administrative Officer Rangamal BK of the municipality said construction of bus park would start soon.

The municipality has spent millions of rupees for construction of bus park.
