Kathmandu, June 20:
A group of central members of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party today met former prime minister Surya Bahadur Thapa and requested him to avert the launching of a new outfit as a retaliatory measure following differences in the party. However, sources close to party president Pashupati Shumshere Rana has declined to share the view that the party is on the verge of split.”
I do not know who are becoming doubly active to avert the split but what we know is there is absolutely no problem,” said leaders close to Rana. The issue had shot into prominence when a number of Rana-baiters, yesterday, egged on the former pirme minister to go ahead with launching a separate outfit as a tactical ploy. Prominent among them was former minister Kamal Thapa.
