RPP-N hasn't left monarchy, Hindu state: Lingden

PHIDIM: Deputy Prime Minister Kamal Thapa-led Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal's General Secretary Rajendra Lingden has said his party has not yet left the demands for reinstatement of constitutional monarchy and Hindu state.

Inaugurating the party's Panchthar district convention in Phidm today, Lingden said the RPP-N had not yet ditched its agendas though it was a major coalition partner in the KP Sharma Oli-led government formed under the republican Constitution.

The leader was hopeful that monarchy and Hindu state could be reestablished anytime as the door to constitution amendment would remain always open under the new constitutional provisions.

The party would put pressures for such the amendment from both streets and the Parliament, according to Lingden.

The convention would conclude tomorrow electing its new leader.
