RPP-Nepal decides to hold Central Council's meeting

KATHMANDU: The full meeting of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal (RPP-N)'s Central Working Committee held on Sunday decided to hold the party's Central Council's meeting in Biratnagar by the last week of November.

The full meeting held since Saturday and presided over by RPP-N Chairman Kamal Thapa also decided to participate in the Constituent Assembly meeting to present the party's take on the new constitution, Assistant General Secretary Rajaram Shrestha said.

The party has appealed to the government to seek a political resolution to the ongoing crisis in various districts in Tarai.

The party further expressed solidarity with the fast-unto-death being held by youths in Tundikhel for reinstatement of Hinduism as Nepal's state religion and demanded security of their lives.

The party meeting also wished for fast recovery of General Secretary Chandra Bahadur Gurung's health. RPP-N has formed a Financial Mobilisation Committee under the coordination of party's treasurer, Uddhav Poudel, to oversee Gurung's treatment.
