KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 26

Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand lost election to Rastriya Prajatantra Party candidate Dipak Bohara. Bohara defeated Khand by a margin of 2,681 votes. Bohara secured 36,717 votes against Khand's 34,036 votes.

Independent candidate Ghana Shyam Bhusal who left the CPN-UML to file his candidacy from Rupandehi Constituency-1, and was supported by the ruling alliance, lost the election to UML candidate Chhabi Lal Bishwakarma. Bishwakarma secured 24,882 votes against Bhusal's 21,318 votes.

UML candidate Bishnu Prasad Paudel won the election with 27,165 votes. His nearest rival Ganesh Paudel from Rastriya Swatantra Party got 25,795 votes.

Janata Samajwadi Party-Nepal candidate from Bara-2 Ram Sahay Yadav won the election. He secured 13,822 votes against CPN-Maoist Centre candidate Shiva Chandra Kushwaha's 13,468 votes.

JSP-N candidate from Dhanusha-1 Dipak Karki won the election with 23,055 votes. His nearest rival CPN- MC candidate Matrika Prasad Yadav got 18,181 votes.

Nepal Samajwadi Party leader Mahendra Ray Yadav who contested election from Sarlahi Constituency-2 with the CPN-MC election symbol won the race with 25,420 votes. His nearest rival Democratic Socialist Party-Nepal candidate Rajendra Mahato got 20,162 votes. NC candidate from Kapilvastu-2 Surendra Raj Acharya defeated CPN-UML candidate Brijesh Kumar Gupta. Acharya secured 39,014 votes against Gupta's 38,697 votes.
