Ruling parties running away from elections, says Oli

DHANGADHI: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has accused the ruling parties of trying to run away from elections with the fear of their possible defeat.

Speaking at a press meet organised in Kanchanpur to mark the conclusion of the party's Mechi-Mahakali Campaign on Friday, Oli said that recent discussions being held about increasing the number of local bodies were only a conspiracy against holding the elections on time.

Oli also suggested that Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal should not let himself fall prey to the United Democratic Madhesi Front's conspiracy, but should come out of illusion.

The UML chief accused the incumbent government of providing the excessive freedom to the Madhesi parties.

In a different context, Oli expressed his dissatisfaction viewing that the Nepali Congress had been getting privilege from the government and the home administration.

He blamed that the largest party abused the state authorities to thwart Free Student Union elections at many colleges after smelling its student wing's defeat.
