Ruling party CPN Maoist Centre announces candidates in four metropolises
KATHMANDU: The ruling party CPN Maoist Centre has announced the candidates in four metropolises for the upcoming May 14 local level elections.
The CPN Maoist Centre has fielded Sarbottam Dangol and Sushila Poudel respectively as candidates of mayor and deputy mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City elections.
Likewise, Dinesh Maharjan and Manjari Shakya have been chosen as candidates of mayor and deputy mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City.
Similarly, Renu Dahal and Ishwar Sapkota will contest elections in the Bharatpur Metropolitan City as the mayor and deputy mayor candidates.
Likewise, the party has chosen Bishwa Prakash Lamichhane as the mayor candidate and Goma Dhakal as the deputy mayor candidate in Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan City in Kaski district.
According to Election Commission elections would be held in as many as 383 local levels including four metropolitan cities, sub-metropolitan cities, municipalities and rural municipalities in 34 districts on May 14.
