Rural Municipality Chief constructs 2 km road on personal expenses
BENI: Chief of Raghuganga Rural Municipality of Myagdi Bhaba Bahadur Bhandari has invested his personal fund for the construction of a two-kilometre road from Phooldanda to Aul.
The road connecting Phooldanda and Aul was inaugurated on Monday amidst a function. Over 400 people from 60 households are directly benefited by the access to this road.
During his election campaigns, Bhandari had pledged to construct the road on his own expenses after his election to the post.
As per his commitment, Chairman Bhandari facilitated the construction of this motorable road with an investment of Rs 400,000 for the project.
A local, Mankumar Sherpunja expressed that the people of the rural municipality are pleased to have the access to the road and appreciated the Chief for fulfilling his commitment.
On the occasion of the inauguration, Bhandari said that he would not make promises to people that cannot be fulfilled, and would strive to fulfill the commitments already made.
