Sadbhawana against PLA-NA integration

Rautahat, June 22 :

Sadbhawana Party is against the idea of integration of Maoist soldiers into the Nepal Army, party’s general secretary and Constituent Assembly (CA) member Anil Kumar Jha said today.

Speaking at a press conference organised by the Rautahat chapter of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) in Gaur, he said: “The three big parties are prioritising the issue of adjustment of PLA with the NA. This is not acceptable to the Sadbhawana Party.”

He argued that the NA should be kept free from politics and the integration of PLA into the national army would not bring good results.

He also blamed the three big parties for causing instability in the nation, working against people’s sentiment and forgetting their main duties by indulging in power sharing game. Jha stressed the need to form a consensus government with the consent of the big three parties.

He also demanded immediate implementation of the eight-point agreement reached between the Madhesi parties and the government.

“If we want to lead the nation in the path of inclusiveness, either post of president or prime minister should go to Madhes parties,” he said, adding that the problems facing the nation have not been solved even after the success of the CA election.

Rather than sharing power, the Madhesi parties would remain in the opposition,

he said.
