Sankhuwasabha landslips put houses at risk
BHOJPUR: Landslides in Dhupu village of Sankhuwasabha district has put four households at a risk of being buried.
Incessant rainfall had triggered a number of landslips in the village on Wednesday.
Sankhuwasabha District Police Office (DPO) said houses of Durga Bahadur Rai and Moti Bhattarai in Dhupu-6, Bhadindra Mani Rai in Dhupu-5 and Som Bahadur Rai in Dhupu-8 are at the high risk.
Police added that two oxen and a pig have gone missing after the landslide.
Meanwhile, a 500-metre stretch of a road in Kartike Danda of Dhupu-6 was completely destroyed by a landslide.
The DPO said the Dhupu-based Temporary Police Post has deployed a police team to carry out rescue operations.
