SAPTARI: A girl has drowned while playing in a pond located in Aaurahi VDC of Saptari district today.

Police have identified the girl as one-and-half-year-old, Naina Kumari Mandal, daughter of Bharat Mandal.

The girl's body has been kept at Rajbiraj-based Gajendra Narayan Singh Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital for postmortem, according to the District Police Office (DPO), Saptari.
