Saptari hospitals face drug shortage due to bandh

SAPTARI: Bhardaha Hospital in Bhardaha of Saptari district has been facing shortage of medicines due to the continuous bandh called by the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF).

Various medicines at the hospital are out of stock, said the hospital’s Dharmendra Khadka.

Around 150 patients visit the hospital every day.

Similarly, the stock of essential drugs at the Rajbiraj-based Gajendra Narayan Singh Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital is also running short.

Dr Lal Kishor Singh of the zonal health facility said that the hospital has been facing shortage of medicines due to the bandh imposed for the past 50 days.

Likewise, Rajbiraj-based medical halls are also facing medicine shortage.
