RAJBIRAJ, APRIL 1

Saptari has reported a case of COVID-19. Having seen zero virus cases for the past three months, the district confirmed its first case today.

According to the health authority, a 21-year-old man of Rajbiraj has been confirmed to have contracted the virus.

The confirmation of the positive case followed a swab test at the laboratory based at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital, said District Health Office chief Duniyanlal Yadav.

The youth studying in Pokhara-based Engineering Campus had returned home a week ago to celebrate Holi.

After he showed symptoms of high fever and cough, he underwent a test.

Following confirmation of the virus, the patient has now been kept in home isolation.

Meanwhile, the resurgence of coronavirus has got locals worried. The district so far has lost 41 lives to the disease.

In view of the risk of the virus spread, the DHO has urged all and sundry to keep their guard up against the virus once again.
