Peons of schools based in Kanchanpur district have launched an agitation.

They formed the Nepal School Peons’ Union on Saturday and forwarded a five-point demand to the government. Issuing a release today, the union demanded the creation of a fixed number of seats for peons in schools across the nation, appointment of temporarily working peons to these posts and gratuity for the peons who have crossed the age limit. Peons should be made permanent on the basis of their work experience, the union said.
