Public schools in Baitadi's remote Shivanath Rural Municipality are being equipped with technology.
The rural municipality has started installing internet in all primary public schools to make them technology-friendly.
Chairperson of Shivanath Rural Municipality Karna Singh Saud informed that internet would be installed in all public schools running classes up to Grade VIII. "We are confident that internet access at schools will also help run technical education.
It will help schools adopt technology-enabled learning approach," he added.
In collaboration with Rural Telecommunications Development Board of Nepal Telecommunications Authority, the rural municipality has handed over equipment to 27 schools operational in its territory.
NTA had made available the equipment necessary for installing internet.
