DHANGADHI, MAY 29
A 16-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in Melauli Municipality, Baitadi district, three months ago.
According to Inspector Lokraj Joshi, Spokesperson at the Baitadi District Police Office, the survivor's relatives have filed a FIR with the police accusing Ashok Bahadur Chand (22) of Melauli Municipality-2 of raping the girl last Falgun.
The minor girl is, apparently, pregnant.
Police have, as such, begun searching for the accused after the court issued an arrest order in response to the report, said Joshi. The accused has been absconding since the FIR was filed.
Furthermore, he was revealed to have enlisted as a temporary police for the May 13 local level elections, according to authorities.
