KATHMANDU: A scooter rider, who was critically injured in a truck hit in Balku in the Capital on Friday, succumbed to injuries during treatment.

The deceased has been identified as rider of the scooter (Ba 82 Pa 4835), Bajehang Jadel (40) of Panchthar district, currently residing in Teku, Kathmandu.

Jadel breathed his last at the Newroad-based National Trauma Centre in Kathmandu.

The scooter was hit by the truck (Lu 1 Kha 9909) at around 8:30 am today.

The Metropolitan Police Cirlce, Kalimati, has impounded the four-wheeler and arrested its driver for further investigation.
