Birgunj, August 29 :

Security guards of various industries of Bara and Parsa, who were on strike from August 17 with 25-point demands, called off their strike today. An agreement was reached between the security guard struggle committee and the management to form a task force to study the demands of the security guards.

The demands include hike in salary and they be made permanent. A meeting of the Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCI), industries’ management, security agencies and the security guard struggle committee held yesterday had decided to form a 13-member task force under the coordination of advocate Ram Krishna Kafle. The task force will submit its reports within 45 days.
