SEE being held peacefully in Manang and Lamjung
MANANG: A total of 55 students have appeared for SEE examination in Manang.
According to District Education Officer Tukraj Adhikari, of the 55 students, 28 are girls and 27 are boys. 47 students have appeared for regular examination whereas eight have appeared for supplementary examination, informed District Education Office, Manang. The SEE is centered at the Lokpriya School in Chame, the headquarter of Manang district.
After having seen a high number of violation of examination codes and conduct such as loose invigilation, allowing students to cheat and creating an environment conducive to for students to somehow pass the exam, the exam controllers are making strong efforts to discourage such conduct this time around.
In the past years, a lot of people from other districts would fill in the forms at Manang to appear in exams in the district because it was taken for granted that passing an exam is easy in Manang, said one of the DEO employees.
Meanwhile, 3,108 examinees are appearing for SEE in Lamjung. According to Surendra Kumar Mandal from District Education Office, out of 3,108 examinees, 3, 041 are appearing for general category, 66 for technical category, 16 for supplementary category and 34 for exempted category exams. Among the 3,157 students who have filled the forms, 49 have been restricted from sitting in the exam as they did not maintain 75% of their attendance.
