Seven children rescued from Nepal-India border

DHANGADHI: Kanchanpur police on Sunday said that they rescued seven children from the Nepal-India border point in Gaddachauki of the district.

According to the Tikapur Area Police Office in neighbouring Kailali district, five girls and two boys, aged 14-15, had disappeared from the locality.

The teenage kids were rescued from Gaddachauki, at the western border of Kanchanpur district on Friday.

They were trying to sell some gold ornaments to manage their travel expenses to India. Police informed that they were leaving for India seeking employment when the police rescued them.

According to the parents back in Kailali, the children had left home for school on June 30. But, after the children did not return home, the worried parents had filed a complaint for their search.
