Ilam:

Seven shops were gutted fire at Fikkal bazaar in Ilam last night destroying property worth eight million rupees. The fire destroyed all the belongings of four families of Bhogiya Paswan, Rajan Tamang, Dipen Koirala and Gauri Giri who were living in the house belonging to Mohan Shrestha, the Pashupatinagar area police office informed. Gyani Ram Shrestha, president of the Fikkal Chamber of Commerce and Industries, said the chamber provided Rs 5,000 to each family as relief assistance while the Nepal Red Cross Society distributed relief.
