BAITADI: A seven-year-old girl has died after a poisonous snake bit her at her house in remote Mahakali VDC of Baitadi district on Monday night.

The victim has been identified as Draupadi, daughter of Hikkmat Saud, according to Mohan Bahadur Chand, a local resident.

The snake reportedly bit the girl, a second grader at local Bhagawati Lower Secondary School, when she was studying at around 8 pm.

She died within a few moments.
