KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court on Monday issued show-cause notices to government authorities on why three rape-accused policemen were not prosecuted. A single bench of Justice Bharat Raj Upreti was hearing a writ petition filed by Suntali Dhami on Sunday seeking the apex court’s order to government authorities to prosecute all those accused in raping her. The bench directed the authorities to explain the same in writing within 15 days. Dhami has accused police constables Biradutta Badu, Dan Singh Bhandari and Naribhan Mahatara for raping her on September 27 in Achham. Dhami has claimed that the accused were set free by the District Government Lawyers Office, Achham.
