Siddhalake Rural Municipality prepares development master plan

Siddhalake Rural Municipality of Dhading has prepared a profile and master plan for development.

The rural municipality said the web-based profile and master plan had been unveiled with the help of surveyors and people’s representatives. The profile had covered areas including introduction, details, population, economic and social status, physical infrastructure, forest and environment, condition of good governance of the rural municipality, among others.

The rural municipality comprises 6,212 households with a population of 31,395.

Chief administrative officer at the rural municipality, Laxman Prasad Bhattarai, said the GIS map of the rural municipality and the details of separate wards had been included in the profile.

Similarly, the long term vision in agriculture, tourism and infrastructure, and foundation of Siddhalake with prosperous society had been included under the 10 years and five years programme. As many as five subject-wise areas have been included in the plan.

Bhattarai said social, economic, physical infrastructure, forest and environment, along with institutional development and good governance development plans have also been included.

The master plan has allocated Rs 3,234,121 to implement the five years’ plan. Federal, provincial and local governments, INGOs, NGOs and private sector, among others are sources of the budget.
