Normal life was affected here on Tuesday due to the two-day Tarai bandh called by Jantantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha- Visfot Singh (JTMM-V). The JTMM faction called the bandh from Monday to protest killing of its central member Rakesh Karna on Saturday. No vehicle plied due to the bandh here.

Meanwhile, a report from Siraha said an unidentified gang abducted a bank employee at Sisbani VDC on Tuesday. Sujit Khatiwada, 30, who works in the Swablamban Development Bank, was abducted at 10:00 am.
