Six Indian nationals held for duping Bhojpur locals with fake gold

BHOJPUR: Police arrested six Indian nationals on charges of hoodwinking locals of Pauwa Dumma Rural Municipality on pretext of forging new ornaments and waxing gold in Bhojpur district.

A team of sleuths deployed by the District Police Office caught the accused swindlers in possession of Aqua Regia, a chemical composition of hydrochloric acid and nitric acid which was used by the fraudsters to dissolve real gold.

The accused identified as Labkush Sah (31), Jitendra Sah (22), Shrawan Kumar Sah (19), Rabindra Sah (22), Ramesh Kumar (18), and Rakesh Kumar (36), all from Motihari in Bihar, India, lured the innocent locals and promised them to forge new ornaments and polish their existing gold jewelries and exchanged it with fake gold.

Law enforcement officers intercepted the arrestees while they were fleeing the district.
