SLC exams begin on a peaceful note

The first day of SLC exams passed away peacefully throughout the district, however, exams were delayed by an hour in seven centres of the district because of late arrival of question papers.The district education office Chitwan informed that some 6,075 students including the regular and exempted are sitting in the exams this year.
There are 17 exam centres for the regular students and three separate centres for the exempted ones.
In Bara, one examination superintendent and a peon were expelled for helping the students cheat in the first day of SLC exam. Hira Lal Mahato, the peon of Nepal Rastriya Prathamik Vidhayala and posted in Durga Secondary School exam centre was expelled in the connection, Surendra Poudel of administration officer of Bara DEO stated.
Poudel added that one guard of Ram Raja Campus exam centre, Kalaiya was also expelled today. The Kalaiya City Reform Struggle Committee, in a statement, accused that the security forces were involved in helping the students to cheat.
Some 4,454 students are appearing in the exams from Bara.Likewise, in Rupandehi, the SLC exam passed peacefully today. The DEO informed that 6,107 students are appearing in the exams from 18 centres.
One student Hira Lal Mahato of Jaya Kisan Secondary School, Dharahari VDC was not allowed to sit in the exam because he had not recieved the admission card, which the DEO did not send on time. Mahato said that the negligence of the DEO and Office of the Controller of Exam had ruined his future. When contacted, the staffers at the DEO said they had no knowledge of the case.
The DEO, Ramechhap informed that of the 2,346 students who were to appear in the exams some 101 were absent in the first day. Lal Jung Chauhan, the District Education Officer of Ramechhap said that the exams in 10 centres in the district were conducted peacefully.
