MYAGDI: Life in Beni Bazaar, Myagdi district’s headquarters, remains affected due to disrupted power supply and breakdown in telecommunication. Power supply and telecom service were disrupted after snowfall on Wednesday. “Snow used to fall in 37 VDCs of the district every year. However, this time it snowed for the first time in 64 years in the district headquarters also,” said Hari Krishna Shrestha, former chairman of Athunge VDC. “Power supply and telecom services are non-existant in Beni, Mallaj and areas of Parbat district,” he said.
