Speaker Mahara leaves for Kazakhstan
KATHMANDU: Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara left today for Kazakhstan to take part in a session of the Speakers of Eurasian Countries. He leads a six-member delegation.
The fourth meeting of the Eurasian countries' Speakers is scheduled to be held in Kazakhstan from September 22-25.
House of Representatives' members Man Bahadur Bishwakarma, Radha Gyawali and Amritdevi Agrahari, Federal Parliament Secretariat's chief comptroller Basanta Raj Sigdel, and Speaker Mahara's private secretary Dor Bahadur Pun are part of the delegation.
Nepali consul general for Kazakhstan Barun Chaudhary and HoR member Binod Chaudhary will also participate in the meeting to take place in the nation's capital, Astana, also known as Nur-Sultan. The Speaker will address the session on behalf of Nepal, according to his press coordinator Dilli Malla.
