KAPILVASTU: Local administration on Sunday set fire on 200 huts and turned them to ashes in Amaulika of Kapilvastu’s Jayanagar VDC-9. Security personnel had taken the residents under control before demolishing the huts. Chhotu Tharu, residing there for years, lamented, “The police came early morning and threatened to open fire on us in case we denied vacating the place.”
