State minister rules out Oli's India visit before China

UDAYAPUR: Minister of State for Urban Development Manju Kumari Chaudhary on Sunday said that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli would not make his state visit to India until the Indian unofficial blockade ended.

She also came down heavily on India, saying that on the one hand, New Delhi invited PM Oli to pay a visit, while it, on the other hand, imposed a blockade on Nepal, plunging Nepalis into a severe crisis.

Chaudhary was speaking at a press conference organised by Udayapur chapter of Press Chautari Nepal here.

Saying that it was an oppressive tendency, giving a leeway for Indian people and security personnel to assist the Tarai agitations, she accused the protesting parties of trying to disrupt the implementation of the new Constitution upheld by 90 percent people’s representatives.

She also shared that PM Oli would visit China soon to make a trade agreement with it and ease trade between Nepal and China after opening all border points with the northern neighbour.
