BEJHAD: A successful test of paragliding has been undertaken at Rampur Municipality-7 of Palpa district on Monday.

Some 16 test flights took off from Bahundanda and Losdi of Siluwa in Purbakhola Rural Municipality-1, with first test flight taking off from Bahundanda and landing at Kisanbari sports ground in the district.

Test flights of paragliding were carried out under the leadership of Guinness Book of record holder Sanubabu Sunuwar.

“Rampur has immense potentials for paragliding”, Sunuwar said, adding that he chose Bahundanda and Siluwa for paragliding in the course of exploring proper sites for the same.

Sunuwar has so far successfully undertaken paragliding in 26 districts.

“One can reach to the close vicinity of Tarai and lap of a mountain through paragliding”, he shared.

Rampur folks are euphoric with the successful operation of paragliding. They are optimistic that the new undertaking would bring development.
