CHITWAN: Nepali Congress leader Sujata Koirala has stated that she is going to vie for the Nepali Congress President post in the party's upcoming General Convention.

Speaking at a programme organised by the Nepal Press Union, Chitwan Chapter here at Bharatpur today, leader Koirala also urged to increase the number of party officer-bearers.

Leader Koirala, also former Foreign Minister, argued that the government should declare the existing five development regions as the federal provinces to give outlet to the disputes abounding the federalism issue. "With this, Madesh, Mountain and Terai become untied," she added.

Leader Koirala bated for religious freedom in the new constitution that would embrace all ethnicity in the country.
