ONCE OVER

RAJBIRAJ: Nepali Congress General Secretary Sashank Koirala on Friday said his party would have to throw its weight behind the Dahal-Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) to unseat Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli from the government. Inaugurating a newly-constructed building of Tripti Narayan Memorial ENT Hospital at Saptari's Tilathi,

Koirala reiterated that his party would have to join hands with the Dahal-Nepal faction of NCP to vote for the no-confidence motion that would be tabled at the Parliament against the prime minister.

"The country is passing through a tough time. It seems unclear if the ruling NCP is divided or undivided. Nepali Congress is in a dilemma over supporting either faction of the ruling party. But, NC has to join hands in favour of no-confidence motion," he stated. He said the parties would have to decide the name of the prime minister before registering the no-trust motion against the prime minister.

"It would be good if parties like NC and Dahal-Nepal faction of the NCP hold discussion on the name of the prime minister prior to registering no-trust motion in the Parliament," he added. DR Koirala had felicitated Sailendra Kumar Jha, Sugananda Jha and Rabinath, among others, who had donated land for construction of the hospital at the programme.
