Surkhet, September 11:

The district election office, Surkhet, has completed preparations for the constituent assembly election, election officer Lalit Kumar Basnet said today.

The district election office is now organising awareness programmes, he said.

Surkhet has 2,24,183 voters who will cast their votes in three constituencies, the election office said. While there are 2,14,183 permanent voters, there are 10,000 temporary ones in the district, Basnet said. A total of 251 polling centres will be set up, he added.

The election office also said that human resources needed for the polls have been arranged for. Altogether 2,805 officials and personnel will be deputed under three. The election office further said that 502 ballot boxes required for the polls have arrived.
