NUWAKOT: Nepal Army's bomb disposal team was called after a suspicious object was found in the house of Nepali Congress cadre in Sikre Rural Municipality of Nuwakot district today.

The bomb was found in the house of NC cadre Uddhav Thapa,

Deputy Superintendent of Police Madhukar Jung Bista at the Nuwakot District Police Office, said that the police were informed of the suspicious objected and that the NA squad had left for the site.

Meanwhile, police have cordoned off the site where the suspicious object was found.

Police presumed that the untoward activities might have aimed at spreading terror and to disrupt an election publicity campaign being held at Shivapuri Sherabagar today.

NC leader Ram Sharan Mahat is scheduled to attend the election campaign.
