Swiss support to reconstruct Dolakha technical school
KATHMANDU: The Government of Switzerland signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nepal to provide a grant of Rs 105 million for post-quake reconstruction at a Dolakha-based school.
The agreement was signed by Switzerland’s Chargé d’Affaires ad interim Diepak Elmer and Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Education Tulashi Prasad Thapaliya today to provide the grant to Jiri Technical School.
According to a statement issued by the Kathmandu-based Embassy of Switzerland, the grant would be used in the reconstruction of the Technical School including classrooms, girls' hostel and premises that were destroyed in the 2015 earthquake and its aftershocks.
The reconstruction work, if it would go as planned, is expected to complete by December 2018.
