Syangja official found dead in Chitwan jungle
CHITWAN: Chief of the Syangja Soil Conservation Office, Under-Secretary Kamal Gautam, was found dead at a jungle in Chitwan district on Monday.
He was found hanging with a noose in the jungle of Ramnagar in Bharatpur Sub-Metropolitan City at around 7 pm yesterday, police informed.
Gautam (45) of Ramja Deurali in Parbat had left for the Kathmandu-based Department of Soil Conservation and Watershed Management six days ago.
In their last contact, Gautam had informed the family that he had reached Muglin.
Police stated that whether the incident was a murder or a suicide was yet to be ascertained.
His body has been handed over to the family after postmortem, police added.
