BHOTEODHAR: Police said a youth has been killed on the spot in a tractor accident at Paire in Bhoteodhar of Lamjung district on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as 27-year-old Purna Bahadur Tamang of Rupakot-2 in Tanahun district. It has been learned that Tamang used to work as an assistant for the tractor driver.

The tractor (Ga 1 Ta 3023) was heading to Sundarbazaar from Bhoteodhar before the accident.

Krishna Bahadur Chhetri of the District Traffic Police Office said the brake failure might have caused the accident.

Meanwhile, the tractor driver Suraj Gayak who sustained minor injuries is currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital in the district, added police.
