Tanker drivers threaten to stop fuel supply

The Tanker Drivers’ Union has threatened to stop the supply of petroleum products from tomorrow if the Janakpur Petroleum Products Suppliers’ Association (JPPSA) does not reinstate the drivers who were fired from service in February. Union president Binod Manandhar issued a statement on Sunday warning of the strike and stopping the loading and unloading of petroleum products at the the oil depots in Raxaul of India and at the Amlekhgunj depot in Nepal. The union said that drivers Jogi Yadav and Jagannath Thakur were sacked at the behest of the JPPSA.
