KAPILVASTU: District Police Office, Kapilvastu, held three activists of Sanyukta Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha in possession of weapons from Mutajhutawa of Bithuwa VDC on Sunday night. The arrested are Kapilvastu-Dang in-charge and bureau secretary, Anil Mahamad Khan, bureau secretariat member, Chandrashekhar Sunar, and bureau member Dharmendra Kumar Sahani. . The police also confiscated two home made pistols with two rounds of bullets, and Rs 11,000 from the trio, said inspector Kedar Khanal. Meanwhile, bureau in-charge Khan claimed that the police had arrested them as they had come out in the public as an agreement with the Maoist-led government said that the group members would not be arrested.
