JANAKPURDHAM: Ram Yadav alias Akash Tyagi, eastern command bureau in-charge and army commander of Tarai Rastriya Mukti Sena, was killed in police action in Dhanusha this morning. According to the District Police Office, Yadav was gunned down at 4:30 am near Bharampura Chowk of Janakpur Municipality-8.

SP Yadavraj Khanal informed that a patrol had retaliated after they were fired upon by the cadres of the underground armed outfit. Yadav got five bullet wounds in his back and died on the spot. The police informed that they had found one homemade pistol, one grenade, one socket bomb, five rounds of bullets and some documents from the incident site.

Multiple cases, including murder, abduction and donation collection, filed against Yadav. He was a resident of Laxmipur Bageba VDC.
