KATHMANDU, MAY 23

Mountaineer Tatiana Abramson has become the first Israeli woman to stand atop Mt Lhotse.

According to Cha Tours Treks and Expedition, Tatiana Abramson along with Naina Singh Dhakad, Sharmila Syangtan Tamang, Chatur Tamang and Pasang Tshering Sherpa successfully scaled Mt Lhotse this morning at around 8:30 am.

Tatiana has become the first woman from Israel to scale Lhotse. She used the normal route and oxygen support, Chatur Tamang who guided her to the top of summit shared.

"This is not Tatiana's first such achievement, as in the 2019 season she had become the first Israeli woman to climb to the top of the eight-thousand-meter Manaslu," added Tamang.
