Teacher killed in Manang jeep fall
LAMJUNG: A 34-year-old man died in a jeep accident in Manang on Saturday.
Bal Krishna Ghimire, a resident of Ishaneshwor VDC-9 of Lamjung, died while the jeep (Ga 1 Ja 5875) fell around 100 metres down the road at Bharodanda, Pisang-1 of Manang at around 7 pm yesterday.
He was a teacher at the Annapurna Higher Secondary School in Tankimanang of Manang.
Chief of Manang District Police Office, DSP Jagannath Gautam, said police are preparing to handover the body to his family after postmortem at the District Hospital in Chame.
The jeep was carrying five passengers including Ghimire as well as some stones to roof houses.
The jeep driver Sudeep Moktan (26) has sustained a minor injury on his right arm.
