Teaching materials supplied to 320 schools
Phidim, October 22:
The District Education Office (Panchthar), with the assistance of the UNICEF (Nepal), distributed educational materials to 320 community schools this year.
The distributed materials include interesting and supportive items like story books, books of poems and radios, in keeping with the children’s interest and acumen.
The materials were distributed with a view to uplifting the education standard of students and make teaching methods more effective, said UNICEF field officer in Panchthar, Bishworaj Bhatt.
A quality education programme has been launched at the primary level in the district for last two years.
Along with teaching materials the physical structure of schools should be good and training should be given to the teacher so that they provide quality education, said chairperson of the Teachers’ Union, Tiwendra Chapagain.
Meanwhile, the data presented by District Education Office to UNICEF stated that the school admission campaign-2063 was not effective.
Though the report of admission of 2768 new students through the school admission campaign- 2063 was submitted there is no evaluation of the report so far, said district programme officer of UNICEF (Panchthar), Ram Kumari Tamang.
