Technical teams to collect data on quake victims

As many as 37 technical teams along with engineers will be deployed to record details of the houses destroyed by last year’s deadly earthquake, in two municipalities and 32 VDCs of Kaski.

A team of engineers will collect details of 11,744 private houses of the municipalities and the VDCs.

One representative each from the District Development Committee and the Statistics Office have been assigned for each engineer in the team. The team will have to submit details of the houses at their working station within 45 days.

District Data Collection Management Office informed at an interaction organised among the stakeholders in the office today that the team will be deployed at the working station within a week and that the process for grant amount will also start within two months.

The team, which will be led by chief engineers in the district will identify and collect the data of quake-affected houses on tablets provided by the data collection management office. Announcements have been made to ensure that all victims receive aid.

The earthquake which had rocked the nation last year caused heavy destruction in 31 districts of the country and many still await aid.
